Recipes using Limoncello

Delizie
al Limone
Wonderfully light and wickedly sweet lemon flavoured desserts.
Choux pastry made with 10 eggs, confectioners custard made with 1
litre of milk, 500gms of whipped cream, grated rind of 4 half green
lemons, a glass of Limoncello, 1/2 glass of water.
Prepare the choux pastry and fill an icing bag with large size piping
tube: on a greased and floured baking tray form lots of little piles
of pastry, dust them with flour and bake. When they are golden take
them out of the oven and leave to cool. The delizie are created using
two of these pastry shapes filled with cream and covered in a creamy
sauce. Once the pastry has been made, prepare the custard, let is
cool and add the grated rind of two of the lemons and 100 grams of
cream; take the pastry shapes, wet them with a mixture made with a
glass of Limoncello di Capri and half a glass of water; on each shape
place a spoonful of custard and sandwich the pastry shapes together.
The remaining custard should be thinned using 400gms of cream, the
grated rind of the remaining two lemons, and a liqueur glass of Limoncello
di Capri . Pour this mixture onto the delizie covering them entirely.
